Easter break

It's Thursday afternoon and Easter break has officially begun! I'm staring out at the water on a beautiful sunny day. 78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! But I'm not sitting in my apartment staring at the ocean. Nope, I'm home in Oklahoma looking out at the lake next to my house. According to my go-to source for weather forecasts, it's actually cloudy and getting ready to rain in San Diego! So for once, the weather is nicer at my home than at school. Pretty rare I must say!

Two weekends ago in San Diego, however, the weather was amazing. I would know, because I was outside all day Saturday! All the PLNU Student Ministries leaders took a trip to the San Diego Zoo, which is still awesome. We even got our own private tour! Our guide has worked at the zoo for over 25 years, so she knew what she was talking about. She took us in a back entrance that the zookeepers use to get a REALLY close look at the elephants, and we also got to pet a camel! Check out the pictures below. After the zoo we all went to Buca Di Beppo downtown for an amazing family-style dinner. I might have wandered over to the TVs near the bar to catch the final minute of the Villanova-Pittsburgh Elite Eight game, which was awesome too.

Here are some pictures from the day:

No zoom feature needed! We were that close

On our private tour!

Great pics! But since this post is titled "Easter break", I thought you might mention your exciting plans for the rest of the break...Saturday...traveling to Tulsa...visiting your beloved sister...something like that?
